Trail runs through small oak thickets, pine trees & can be sandy in some places.
Going west on Hwy 44 to Crystal River from Inverness your going to turn right on Hwy 581 to Brooksville. You park at Mutual Mines Recreation Area. From Brooksville going north on Hwy 41 your going to turn on Hwy 481. When you enter Citrus County it turns into Hwy 581, your going to cross over Hwy 480 "Stage Coach" & the sign for Mutual Mines Recreation Area will be on your left.
